Webdesk, TNI Mekhliganj, 16th June, 2017: The Enclave dwellers are not well here after the historic treaty of India and Bangladesh is signed on 31st July 2015, and subsequently, the exchange of enclave dwellers happened I here. The dwellers have many times raised their problems in front of the administration but those mattered little in favor of them. For making a mark about their demands at least 46 enclave families (160 members) has started a hunger strike till death in front of the SDO office. Mr. Bipul Roy told TNI “We have come here for the last two years but till now there was no betterment of their lifestyle. Further, we were provided with flats at Panishala village to 152 families. We don’t want flats, Secondly, the place where the flats were allotted are near the river side without road connections”. He also said that after 65 years of identity less life if we have to lead a life of refugee again then the dwellers have no other option but to return to their previous life.
